Johnny Strilaeff, Acting President & CEO

Johnny Strilaeff Johnny Strilaeff was born and raised in Castlegar. The Board of Directors appointed him Acting President & Chief Executive Officer of Columbia Power in 2017. He is currently the President & CEO of Columbia Basin Trust. He joined the Trust in 2005 and immediately took a keen interest in the partnership with Columbia Power and hydro projects in the Basin. He brings many years of Executive leadership experience. Previously, Johnny worked for several years with CIBC. Johnny is a graduate of Selkirk College (Diploma in Liberal Arts & Sciences) and the University of Calgary (Bachelor of Commerce degree with a concentration in Finance). He is also a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charterholder.

Giulio Ambrosone, Vice President, Capital Projects

Giulio Ambrosone Giulio Ambrosone joined Columbia Power in 2003 after four years as the Resident Engineer with Klohn Crippen/SNC Lavalin, Columbia Power’s Owner’s Consultant during construction of the Arrow Lakes Generating Station. Giulio has a Master’s of Science degree in Construction Management, and is also a professional engineer with a degree in civil engineering, and over 30 years experience in power plant construction.

David De Git, Director, Finance

David De Git David De Git has been with Columbia Power since 1999. In his current position, he is responsible for accounting, risk management and controllership for the corporation. David is a member of the Certified Management Accountants of British Columbia and served as a CMABC Board Director from 2006 to 2008.

Brandon Haney, Director, Operations

Brandon Haney Brandon Haney joined Columbia Power in 2014 as a Senior Electrical Engineer working on Asset Reliability and Plant Operations & Maintenance. Brandon has a Bachelor of Applied Science in Electrical Engineering and a Masters in Electrical Power Engineering. He previously worked for BC Hydro in Design, Commissioning, Resource Management and reliable Operations & Maintenance. Brandon is a practicing Professional Engineer with APEGBC. His passion lies in the application of predictive technologies to the maintenance of hydro equipment and ensuring the right maintenance is completed at the right time.
