Brilliant Dam Receives the 2014 GKS Hydro Plant Operational Excellence Award

The Brilliant Dam received the 2014 GKS Hydro Plant Operational Excellence Award in recognition of excellence in cost and operational management.

Brilliant Dam, along with our other operating facilities, participates annually in Navigant’s GKS Hydro benchmarking study. The study involves the comprehensive collection, review and verification of cost data broken down by a number of categories and compares it with the performance of the facility measured by availability and forced outage rate. Upon meeting a required safety rate hurdle the winner is chosen using an integrated formula. The facility was benchmarked against 90 facilities.
