Columbia Power worked with a wide range of stakeholders to build strong, positive relationships to develop three power projects that now benefit communities socially, economically, and environmentally.
During the construction of these projects, Columbia Power worked with Community Impact Management Committees (CIMC) made up of members of local and regional government, First Nations, businesses, community stakeholders and special interest groups. The CIMCs met regularly to support and encourage positive community impacts and benefits, and to relay community concerns resulting from the construction of a project.
The CIMCs also worked directly with an independent monitor who reported on the social and economic impacts of the project on the local area. See the reports for each project below.
